Halo Density from Classical Cepheids

Halo Density from Classical Cepheids

Piotr Gnaciński

We use the galactocentric rotation velocities of classical Cepheids to model the rotation curve of our Galaxy. The model consists of central black hole, bulge, disk and halo. The derived halo density is 25% less than the value obtained from flat rotation curve.
