The extreme values of eigenvector one - the spectral properties

Marzena Śniegowska, Bożena Czerny

The SDSS catalogs contain almost 300 000 well studied quasars with good optical spectroscopy. Eigenvector 1 (RFe) is a formal parameter which is the ratio of the equivalent widths of FeII to Hβ. We analyze the most extreme examples of quasars with the highest possible values of the corresponding RFe (larger than 1.3) from the Shen et al. (2011) catalog. We focus on the most extreme RFe values from our modelling and discuss in detail the physical properties of these 6 extreme objects.
